Vivimos un momento muy especial que puede hacer posible un cambio de orientación hacia la solidaridad y la esperanza. Y día a día vamos constatando que, con la crisis, crece el número y el compromiso de la gente que se mueve con nuestros mismos anhelos. Precisamente por ello, y por el momento que vivimos, en esta ocasión nos hemos encontrado al final de este famoso Camino de Santiago bajo el lema “Cambiado realidades, provocando rebeldías con Jesús de Nazaret”.

Solidaridad con las personas empobrecidas

Hoy nos afecta, sobre todo, el sufrimiento de tantas personas. Cuando se habla de crisis, normalmente se habla con cifras o porcentajes. Pero detrás de cada una de estas cifras hay una cara, unas personas con nombre y apellido, con esperanzas frustradas, algunas de las cuales podemos tener muy cerca. Se trata de un dolor profundo que afecta a todos los sectores de la población; en primer lugar a quienes ya antes estaban en riesgo de exclusión pero, también, a los que han llegado a las nuevas formas de pobreza que hieren de manera indiscriminada a jóvenes, ancianos, mujeres, adultos sin trabajo, todos los cuales, día a día, ven como van perdiendo posibilidades de mantener su dignidad.

Las personas y entidades convocantes de esta Asamblea sentimos que esta realidad, dura y acuciante, nos interpela. Esto nos ha ayudado a poner en valor la dignidad de la persona, a potenciar los discursos alternativos y rebeldías y a ver con mayor claridad que hay que desautorizar el discurso oficial del “no hay nada que hacer” y que debemos acompañar. Porque sabemos que la dignidad colectiva de una sociedad no se mide por las posibilidades que tienen los sectores económicamente acomodados sino por el respeto y la estima con que son tratados los sectores más castigados. Vivimos un momento clave para ofrecer esperanza.

Devolver a la esperanza desde la ayuda mutua

Es un motivo de esperanza constatar que crece la solidaridad ciudadana en la atención directa a las personas, de individuo a individuo, a menudo de manera invisible, desde las formas más espontáneas (recordamos la espectacular respuesta de los vecinos de Angrois ante el accidente ferroviario) o desde las redes sociales. En tiempos de bonanza parecía que estos valores se habían diluido pero, después de cinco años de recortes y de destrucción de puestos de trabajo, parece que renace.

Hay que hacer referencia, en primer lugar, a la ayuda que se dan los miembros de la misma familia, especialmente los abuelos y abuelas - a pesar de sus escasos recursos, sostienen a familias enteras con sus pensiones - pero también a la aparición de redes informales con acciones directas de solidaridad en relación a necesidades básicas: alimentación (bancos de alimentos, comedores solidarios…), ropa, libros, comercio solidario, acogida de inmigrantes. Cabe remarcar sobre todo la multitud de entidades nacidas de la sociedad civil que, más allá de poner el foco en quienes están desvalidos y marginados, ayudan para superar las nuevas formas de pobreza; muchas de esas entidades están presentes en esta Asamblea.

Cambiando realidades y provocando rebeldías

Sabemos, sin embargo, que los remedios paliativos no son suficientes, que hay que cambiar el sistema hacia un nuevo modelo que preserve la igualdad, los derechos de todos, la transparencia, el respeto a la naturaleza. En este sentido, la crisis ha desencadenado múltiples protestas, resistencias y la proliferación de experiencias. Nuestra sociedad hierve de protestas masivas contra los recortes en los servicios básicos, contra los desahucios, contra una reforma laboral que deja sin protección al trabajador, contra el racismo y la criminalización del inmigrado, contra las acciones usureras de la banca, contra el deterioro de la naturaleza (después de 11 años seguimos teniendo que gritar Nunca Máis!) o contra el modelo de la Europa neoliberal.

Todo este movimiento de protesta viene acompañado de la aparición de propuestas alternativas, diferentes y llenas de imaginación, en los ámbitos más diversos que, entre todas, van definiendo la orientación del nuevo modelo. Son pequeñas experiencias pero en el interior de cada una de ellas hay una semilla de esperanza.

En el campo de la economía el renacimiento del movimiento cooperativo, de la banca ética, de nuevas experiencias en el mundo rural, de las plataformas en defensa del territorio, por un nuevo modelo energético o por la nueva cultura del agua. En el campo político la conciencia de la necesidad de reforma en profundidad del sistema político, de nuevas formas de participación y de ejercicio de la democracia. En el campo del derecho el movimiento de juristas y personas que ejercen la abogacía, que piden mayor transparencia y capacidad de actuación contra un modelo de sociedad vendida al dinero. En el campo del género los movimientos de lucha por la igualdad y respeto a la diversidad. Y podríamos seguir: en el campo de la cultura, de la educación, los servicios, de la no violencia. Vivimos en una sociedad que reacciona.

Por otra parte vivimos un momento especialmente oportuno en la iglesia. Queremos que el cambio se consolide, apostamos una iglesia pobre, horizontal, en diálogo con el mundo, que acompañe, señal de misericordia ante este mundo roto, y unas comunidades que ayuden en el campo de la fe, de la espiritualidad, del diálogo interreligioso, en una nueva manera de entender a Dios.

Desde el marco de esta IV Asamblea, Redes Cristianas, acoge con alegría la Exhortación Apostólica del papa Francisco y se une al esfuerzo por una iglesia más democrática y más evangélica en el mundo de hoy.

Apostamos por la confluencia de todas estas luchas y esperanzas. Debemos trabajar desde todos los ámbitos y desde la pluralidad de pensamiento e ideologías y establecer una relación porosa en este hermoso hervidero de iniciativas, movimientos y protestas, ahora en plena gestación. Esta IV Asamblea de Redes quiere ser un intento más en la construcción de esta gran Red. Quiere colaborar en la creación de este espacio común de valores y luchas, de propuestas y de experiencias. Allá en el fondo, escondida y humilde, vive y encontraremos la esperanza.
