Las Marchas de la dignidad que ha congregado a más de un millón de personas en Madrid el pasado fin de semana suponen un antes y un después que a nadie puede dejar indiferente.

Por mucho que quiera disimularlo el gobierno del PP, que una vez más recurre a la mentira como arma política al vincular la marcha a los incidentes violentos que su propia torpeza policial ha causado, la movilización ha sido una expresión plural y democrática del rechazo que concitan las políticas que se están aplicando en los últimos años.

Los hechos son indiscutibles: de la mano de las reformas puestas en marcha por Zapatero desde que se rindió ante la Troika y más tarde por Rajoy, España es el país europeo donde más crecido la desigualdad y donde más se ha concentrado la renta en los grupos ya de por sí más ricos. Las reformas financieras, la laboral y los recortes sucesivos en gasto social, lejos de mejorar la situación económica han provocado más paro, más deuda, más cierre de empresas y más pobreza y sufrimiento en millones de personas. Han permitido recuperar el beneficio de las grandes empresas y el de los bancos pero desde cualquier otro punto de vista son un completo desastre, no solo económico sino político y social, porque también están significando un desmantelamiento de la ya de por sí limitada democracia y un incremento de las brechas sociales de todo tipo.

Es así porque, como muchos venimos denunciando ya desde 2007 que podría pasar, la crisis se ha convertido en una simple excusa para llevar a cabo las políticas de concentración de poder y riqueza que hasta entonces no se habían atrevido o no habían podido aplicar las élites.

Pero una respuesta tan gigantesca como la del sábado pasado en Madrid indica que cientos de miles de personas se han puesto ya definitivamente en pie para acabar con todo esto y para evitar que se siga produciendo la ignominia. Porque no puede ser que se sigan dando privilegios a los banqueros que han provocado la crisis en lugar de hacerles pagar por sus responsabilidades. Porque no hay derecho a que paguemos miles de millones en intereses de una deuda ilegítima y que no haya después lo suficiente para hacer frente a los gastos que requiere la economía y las estructuras esenciales de bienestar social. Porque no hay derecho a que las grandes fortunas y empresas sigan defraudando y apenas paguen impuestos mientras que se saquea a las rentas más bajas. Porque no hay derecho a que la justicia ampare a los corruptos ni a que se indulte por doquier a los pocos que no tiene más remedio que condenar. Porque no hay derecho a que se nos impongan desde fuera, sin que podamos decidir por nosotros mismos, políticas que está a la vista que solo crean más paro, más deuda y menos capacidad de generar riqueza sostenible y respetuosa con nuestro planeta con el único beneficio de enriquecer a unos pocos. Porque no hay derecho que hayan desahuciado de sus viviendas a docenas de miles de personas por deberle unos cientos de euros a los bancos que nos han robado miles de millones y que ahora se pongan a la venta a precios de saldo para que se forren los fondos buitre y especulativos.

Por eso, la Marcha que el sábado ocupó Madrid ni es el final ni es la respuesta de unas cuantas fuerzas o corrientes políticas.

La Dignidad que la ha impulsado es el comienzo de nuevas marchas que van a culminar sin remedio en la única solución que tiene España: paralizarlo todo para paralizar estas políticas tramposas, antidemocráticas, injustas y fracasadas. Y, por supuesto, esto no lo va a conseguir ni un partido ni unos cuantos, ni algunos sindicatos y ni siquiera personas, por muchos millones que sean, de una única sensibilidad social o corriente política. Detrás de la Dignidad que mueve estas marchas hay y deben estar personas decentes de todas las corrientes e ideologías (y también, claro está, las organizaciones de todo tipo que anteponen esos sentimientos a cualquier otro interés propio) que simplemente quieren cosas tan elementales como que no se impongan medidas injustas sin debate social, que se encierre a los ladrones y que los jueces corruptos se vayan con ellos, que los gobiernos den cuentas de lo que hacen y que el dinero de todos no vaya solo a los de arriba, como viene pasando siempre, sino que se facilite con él, de la forma más transparente posible y previa la contribución de todas las personas, la creación de riqueza, el empleo y el cuidado de los seres humanos y de la naturaleza.

Aunque una parte importante de quienes fueron en Marcha a Madrid ya han vuelto a sus lugares de origen, sabemos que la inmensa mayoría seguirá trabajando y difundiendo la denuncia de lo que está pasando y la convicción de que no se podrá acabar con ello sin la movilización de la gente en las calles, en sus centros de trabajo, en las manifestaciones y más tarde, cuanto toque, en las elecciones, para echar cuanto antes de las instituciones a quienes han aplicado y aplican las políticas que denunciamos.

Hoy día ya no se disimula que la Troika y los grandes poderes financieros y empresariales desean y están buscando por todos los medios que el próximo gobierno sea de consenso entre el PP y el PSOE. Otra componenda para tratar de vencer las resistencias que saben que irán a más frente a las medidas que quedan por aplicar y ante los efectos cada día más graves y evidentes de las que se han tomado hasta ahora.

Es fácil aventurar el efecto que tendrían un gobierno de ese tipo, a la vista de lo que han sido capaces de hacer cada uno por separado desde mayo de 2010 hasta la fecha, y por eso es imprescindible que el espíritu y la forma de hacer de las Marchas se extienda por toda la sociedad, haciendo lo imposible para se acerquen a ellas todas las personas que con independencia de su origen, su ideología o su sensibilidad política sienten vergüenza por lo que viene ocurriendo en España y no están dispuestas a consentir más injusticia, más corrupción, más privilegios para los de arriba y más mano dura para los de abajo.

El sábado, un clamor de dignidad protagonizado por miles y miles de personas inundó Madrid, un clamor que se debería extender a partir de ahora por toda nuestra geografía, pacífica, democrática y alegremente hasta paralizarlo todo para que todo el mundo exprese su rechazo a tanto engaño y tanta injusticia e incluso incompetencia. Paralizarlo todo para paralizar la ignominia: no hay otro camino posible para abrir una necesaria brecha en el bloque gobernante que es el auténtico responsable de lo que está ocurriendo en España.
