49   Vivamos la certidumbre de nuestra fe

Monseñor nos llama y nos invita a vivir “esta certidumbre de nuestra fe y de nuestra esperanza”, vivirla no solo en los momentos y espacios de oración y celebración (culto) de fe, sino también “en esta proclamación pública”. Realmente da lástima constatar que muchas iglesias, comunidades cristianas invierten tanta energía, tiempos y recursos en expresar su “fe y esperanza” en actividades litúrgicas, de oración, de vigilia, de canto y alabanza, de culto, mientras la gran necesidad es vivir esa fe y esperanza en el amor (social, político, económico,..), es decir en la vida.   Solamente articulada y en relación directa con esa otra dimensión (la vida), los espacios de oración y culto pueden ser auténticos y liberadores.  Las iglesias grandes tienen libros de liturgia para toda ocasión, de día y de noche, todos los días del año, pero no tienen pautas concretas para vivir el evangelio en la realidad histórica. 

50.    ¡Cristo vive!

En la fiesta patronal del Divino Salvador del Mundo en 1977 Monseñor desenmascara esa “ilusión en la piedad del corazón” para descubrir en el Divino Salvador la presencia real de Dios, centro de la historia.  Creer de verdad en el Santo Patrono de San Salvador y de El Salvador, exige “empujar a construir un mundo verdaderamente digno de esa vida que no perece”.

Uno podría preguntarse: ¿qué compromiso con esa construcción de un mundo diferente asumen los centenares de feligreses que acompañan la tradicional ‘bajada` del 5 de agosto por la tarde y que aplauden gritando “viva el salvador del mundo”, al aparecer la imagen blanca del patrono?     Monseñor lo repite “Cristo es nuestra Esperanza”.   No es un mensaje religioso para el culto, sino es un mensaje de vida para la historia del pueblo

La cuaresma en que estamos al momento de escribir estas reflexiones es un buen momento para alimentar y fortalecer esos espacios donde cada uno/a contribuye para que haya un mundo nuevo, haciendo “vida” nuestra fe y esperanza en Cristo, Salvador del Mundo.  

 
 

51.  Sintámonos verdaderos hijos de Dios que peregrinamos hacia el Reino.

Monseñor explica hoy el pecado social.  “el pecado que naciendo del corazón del hombre, cristaliza en situaciones injustas”.  Las estructuras sociales, políticas, judiciales, económicas,…. injustas son realmente la cristalización de acciones de pecado cometidas por hombres y mujeres, sean empresarios, políticos,…   Estructuras injustas son aquellas que provocan miseria, pobreza, hambre, explotación, exclusión,… para las mayorías y riquezas para pocos.  Esas estructuras no se cayeron del cielo, no han existido desde siempre, sino son creaciones, cristalizaciones del pecado (es oposición al Plan de Dios, al Reino de Dios) cometido por seres humanos. Lo triste es que muchas veces han recibido “bendiciones” de parte de sacerdotes y pastores, quienes por dinero se han vendido a esos pecadores para lavar la fachada. 

Al referirse a la parábola conocida como “del juicio final”, lo que en realidad es una parábola sobre el juicio “hoy”, Monseñor recuerda que todos y todas tendremos que darnos cuenta no solo del pecado personal, sino también de las estructuras que hemos creado, fortalecido, bendecido, impuesto,…..   Sea por el bien o sea por el mal. Porque recordemos que en no pocas organizaciones (también de base, como cooperativas, adescos, comités de barrio, hasta eclesiales) se ha introducido el pecado, se ha hecho “normal” el pecado de abuso, de corrupción, de aprovechamiento, de exclusión de otros/as ……     Monseñor nos invita a ser verdaderos hijos e hijas de Dios que conscientemente colaboren en la extensión del Reino de Dios. 

 

53. Saber qué quiere Dios

Es una pregunta fundamental de la fe: ¿Qué es lo que Dios quiere de mí, de la comunidad (de fe), de nuestro pueblo, de la(s) Iglesia(s)?  No es fácil de contestar.  Durante siglos las autoridades religiosas han sido los intérpretes de esa voluntad y la comunicaron al pueblo, a las familias, a las parejas, a las personas, a las iglesias locales.   Muchas veces se ha asociado (se asocia) esa voluntad de Dios con el cumplimiento de  cánones, de normas y leyes, de ritos religiosos. 

Hoy reflexioné en la lectura del libro de Daniel “No escuchamos a tus siervos los profetas que en nombre tuyo hablaban a nuestros reyes, a nuestros jefes, a nuestros padres y a todo el pueblo”. (Dan 9,6)  No es que Dios no nos habla hoy. No es que Dios no nos habla suficientemente claro.  El problema que es que “no escuchamos”.   Dios nos envió a Monseñor Romero y “no hemos escuchado”.  Dios nos habló a través de las conferencias del episcopado latinoamericano (de la Iglesia romana) en Medellín (1968), en Pueblo (1979).. y no hemos escuchado.  Y podemos seguir hablando de tantos otros “siervos de Dios, los profetas” (los grandes profetas de la Iglesia, los padres latinoamericanos,…) y no hemos escuchado, o bien, algunos hemos escuchado durante un rato, pero lo hemos olvidado.    Hoy nos habla el Papa Francisco y ¿estamos escuchando de verdad? ¿hacemos caso? 

 

54. Ser constructores del plan de Dios

Siguiendo con la reflexión anterior, en la misma homilía Monseñor Romero nos dice:  Solamente habrá paz, si el pueblo y el gobierno construyen la patria a partir del plan arquitectónico de Dios.  Mientras se sigue construyendo a partir de “caprichos”, de objetivos partidarios, de intereses de poder, de egoísmos, no habrá paz.   “La verdadera paz es aquella que se basa en la justicia, en la equidad, el plan de Dios que nos ha creado a su imagen y semejanza”.  Monseñor está convencido que tenemos las capacidades de contribuir realmente al bien común y de posponer el bien personal o familiar para que haya para todos y  todas.

Acabamos de hacer memoria del martirio del P. Rutilio Grande, Manuel y Nelson. Son ya 40 años!!!!   Rutilio lo expresó de manera muy concreta: mesas y manteles largas, taburetes para todos y todas, tortilla y conqué para todos y  todas y una misión para cada quien.   Y esto es tarea de todos y todas: ser constructores/as de ese plan de Dios.  Preguntémonos: ¿dónde y en qué espacio puedo aportar más, construir mejor a partir de ese plan?

 

55. Tenemos la capacidad de construir el bien común

La construcción del bien común, es, según Monseñor Romero, responsabilidad de todos los y las salvadoreños/as.  Nos indica que es un derecho fundamental, un derecho humano, participar en el destino del pueblo. Por supuesto que este derecho incluye una gran corresponsabilidad histórica.

No es un privilegio de unos pocos, es decir algunos electos para estar en el gobierno o en la asamblea para hacer leyes. “No es un pequeño grupo el que Dios ha escogido”.  Todos y todas somos llamados – por Dios – a ser constructores de una nación donde reine la justicia, la fraternidad, la libertad, la igualdad, la solidaridad, la misericordia,…..   

Pregunta es: ¿en qué espacio estamos cada uno/a colaborando en esta construcción de la nación, del país, de la colectividad?  Estar en puestos de poder (ejecutivo, legislativo, judicial, electoral) no es una cuestión de privilegios sobre otros/as, sino son aún mayores exigencias de servicio altruista. Pero nos toca a  todos y a  todas.  Tenemos la capacidad de construir el bien común.
